After Liam "recovered" from his nausea, he began to cough...which progressively got worse over a couple days, keeping him up at night. He's had a cough before (comes free with daycare tuition, as they say), but something was different about this one. Again, no fever (this kid is tough). So, I made an appointment with his pediatrician and brought him in on Friday. Well, she gave him a breathing treatment (did nothing), sent us for xrays (showed yuck in his lung area and TONS of gas in his tummy) and another breathing treatment. We were sent home with a cute panda breathing treatment machine and a couple antibiotics. He tested negative for RSV and flu, but we went back on Monday to retest for RSV. He got a little better over the weekend, but we stayed isolated. We were both ready to hear good news on Monday. The test came back negative again and he was diagnosed bronchitis. It took until Thursday to really start sounding better. Meanwhile, because of the xray, I was able to convince his pediatrician that we need another specialist referral for the GI guy. Liam's bowels have been a mess since about 2 months old (our first visit with GI) and they have been on and off. Recently, it's been bad (I won't get into). So, we're looking forward to seeing what may be going on and finding a "solution" of some kind. However, despite it all, Liam is wicked playful and super cute!
