Foster and I (and Peanut) drove down to Tampa on Wednesday to spend Christmas with Mom and Dad (Grandma & Grandpa) Schlosser. We were cruising right along until we hit the turnpike exit on 75 and it all came to a complete stop - took 2 hours to complete the last 50 miles of our journey. No worries though - it was all worth it! I was greeted with Adam and Ryan at the house, who drove into town to have dinner with us and catch up. It was fantastic.
Six years ago on Christmas Eve, Joe proposed to me...where does time fly - it goes by awfully quick when you're having the time of your life! We spent the Eve enjoying a great ham dinner, mass, looking at Christmas lights around town and opening gifts! Before the big reveal of the gift that Joe kept secert, we Skyped with Joe so he could see my face when Jeanette and Jerry carried in the most beautiful, hand-made cradle I have ever seen. Jerry spent days working hard (puts the Amish work to shame) to give us something so special - something to pass down to Peanut later (much later) in life.
Being that Peanut has not even arrived on this earth yet, he had a fantastic Christmas! ...and we are still waiting on one more package from Mom and Dad Bowler to arrive.
