Joe had to go to Scottsdale for training, so we added a day and Angie tagged along. It was a blast! On our extra day, we drove up to Sedona (would have gone to the Grand Canyon, but 7 months preggo isn't the best time for a 4 hour drive after a 4 hour flight). Sedona was amazing and the red rocks were everywhere. We stopped at the info center and picked up a map of all the hot spots...including a little local place for lunch.

For the next few days, Joe was in class all day and Angie enjoyed poolside and shopping time.
(Okay, I did not buy this, but if I won the lotto...which I don't play...this would be the ridiculous purchase I would make for myself - A Maserati!)
It was the best vacation we've had together...since most (if not all) of our previous vacations wrapped around seeing family (no offense to family time). We'll definitely take advantage of more opportunities like this with Peanut.
We LOVED Scottsdale and wouldn't hesitate to move there - only draw back being beach and friends. It's definitely a hot spot for retirement with all the sidewalks (Angie loved them!), the arts/culture, sports and mountain trails.
